Balham Quiz Update
Exhibit Monday quiz is no more alas.
Balham Bowls Club tuesday quiz prizes have just got better. 1st prize 70 quid. 2nd place and 2nd last get to pick 1 of 3 envelopes with the chance to win a 20 quid bar tab, a bottle of wine, or a packet of ready salted crisps! In six weeks only one packet as been won.
The Grove on Sunday also has better prizes. 1st place is the whole pot (2 pound entry). 3 weeks ago this was 180 pounds! On average around the 80 quid mark. Instead of free pints of beer questions they have 2 free jugs of beer! And if you stick around at the end, all teams go into a prize draw for a bottle of bubbly.

Hi, thanks for the update. What happened to Nigel who used to run the Balham Bowls Club quiz?
The Grove prize has always been the pot. On a memorable night about 18 months ago we won just under £300!

Oooh nice. Memorable indeed. Not sure about Nigel but was a while ago.
